About Jaswir Dhillon, RP, M.A.
Registered Psychotherapist in Ottawa | Online Therapy Across Ontario
Hello, I’m Jaswir Dhillon (she/her), a holistic and integrative Registered Psychotherapist based in Ottawa offering virtual therapy across Ontario. I specialize in supporting adults and couples healing from childhood and intergenerational trauma, as well as navigating relationship challenges. These deep wounds can impact how safe and secure you feel, your trust in yourself and others, and often show up as anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, or recurring patterns that disrupt connection.
I’m passionate about helping you deepen your self-understanding, build resilience, and move beyond patterns that no longer serve you. Together, we’ll work to heal past wounds and cultivate meaningful, satisfying relationships. It would be my honour to support you on your journey toward greater insight, healing, and lasting growth.
My Approach To Therapy
I take a relational, trauma-informed, and client-centered approach to psychotherapy. I believe that healing is not linear, it’s a process that unfolds when we feel safe, supported, and empowered to be our full selves.
I integrate evidence-based and holistic modalities including:
Psychodynamic Psychotherapy
Parts Work
Somatic therapy
Mindfulness-based practices
Emotion-focused therapy
The Gottman Method
Family Constellations
Together, we’ll explore your experiences with curiosity and compassion, at a pace that feels right for you.

My Path to Therapy
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 14 years as a consulting engineer. This career shift was born from a deep calling to support others in navigating life’s complexity with more awareness, resilience, and self-compassion.
That engineering background gives me a unique lens into the world of high-performing professionals and the pressures that come with it such as stress, burnout, perfectionism, and the pursuit of meaning and balance.
Alongside psychotherapy, I’m also a certified yoga and meditation teacher. These practices continue to inform my work, helping clients tap into the powerful connection between mind, body, and spirit.
As a South Asian (Punjabi) woman, immigrant, and mother, I deeply understand how your identity, culture, and lived experience, including the challenges you’ve faced, shape your journey. In my practice, every part of you is celebrated, including the parts that haven’t always been accepted and appreciated, because accepting your whole self is the foundation of healing and inner strength. This is a space where you can fully embrace yourself and stand confidently in who you are.
Therapy Rooted in Connection
At the heart of my work is a deep belief in the healing power of authentic human connection. I show up as a real person in the therapy room so you can feel safe enough to do the same.
There’s space here for all of you.
Nothing is too messy, too much, or not enough.

My Values
Authenticity
I show up as a real person in the therapy space so that you feel that you can be yourself as well. I believe healing begins with genuine connection, where you're free to be yourself.
Curiosity
I believe that healing begins with gentle exploration, not judgment. Together, we’ll approach your thoughts, emotions, and patterns with openness and compassion, not to fix what’s “wrong,” but to understand what your experience has been and what has been in the way of you living a satisfying life. Curiosity creates space for new insights, self-acceptance, and meaningful change.
Honouring your Lived Experience
As a South Asian woman and immigrant, I understand how culture, identity, and the systems we move through shape our experiences, challenges, and the ways we seek healing. I believe therapy must be culturally sensitive and grounded in humility. I hold space for the complexities of your lived experience, including how race, migration, gender, sexuality, neurodivergence, spirituality, and other identities intersect with your mental health.
I welcome and support clients from all backgrounds, including 2SLGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent individuals, as well as those from diverse cultural, spiritual, and faith traditions. My practice is rooted in equity, cultural humility, and a deep respect for who you are and where you come from. I'm committed to ongoing reflection, learning, and creating a space where you feel safe, respected, and truly seen.
Holistic Healing
I honour the deep connection between mind, body, and spirit. My work weaves together psychotherapy, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and your inner wisdom to support your healing journey in a way that feels right for you.
What Therapy Looks Like with Me
I blend evidence-based approaches like Psychodynamic psychotherapy, Somatic therapy, Parts Work, attachment-based therapy, and mindfulness-based interventions, all within a relational and trauma-informed framework. Whether you're processing the past or trying to stay grounded in the present, I meet you where you are gently, collaboratively, and without judgment.
Clients often tell me they feel seen, supported, and deeply understood, sometimes for the first time. That’s the heart of this work: making space for you to deeply know yourself.
